The Secret Garden Dress Rehearsal
For grades 3 & up

We invite you and your Grade 3 or older students to San Francisco Opera and Cal Performances' co-production of the new opera based on Frances Hodgson Burnett's cherished children's book.

San Francisco Opera and Cal Performances present
The Secret Garden (Dress Rehearsal)

Wednesday, February 27, 12:30–2:30 pm
Zellerbach Hall
$250 for 20-30 seats (pro-rated for smaller or larger groups.)
Scholarships available.

Cal Performances' second major collaboration with San Francisco Opera—audiences still fondly recall Rachel Portman's The Little Prince from 2008—promises beautiful music and a wonderful story. A pampered girl born into privilege finds herself alone in a bleak and unfamiliar land, until she discovers the hidden wonder of an abandoned secret garden. Unexpected friendships and a new life blossom as she makes the garden flourish. Don't miss this unique opportunity for your students to see this beloved children's classic come to life as a fully staged opera.

Professional Development Workshop for Teachers
January 30, 4–7 pm
Willard Middle School, 2425 Stuart Street, Berkeley
