Orchestra & Chamber Music at Cal Performances

The Vienna Philharmonic, lead by maestro Yannick Nézet-Séguin and joined by pianist Yefim Bronfman for its final of three performances, returns as a standout highlight on our 2024–25 Season! Also returning to our stages are the Mahler Chamber Orchestra with Mitsuko Uchida leading from the keyboard; the Danish String Quartet; the Dover Quartet; the Brentano String Quartet, and two visits by the Takács Quartet—one with pianist Jeremy Denk.  Owls, a fresh and original new string quartet collective, and Hagen Quartet make their debuts, and two collaborative chamber trios combining Cal Performances favorites and new faces make appearances: violinist Tessa Lark, cellist Joshua Roman, and double bassist Edgar Meyer; and pianist Wu Han and cellist David Finckel with violinist Arnaud Sussmann.
