Jazz, Wynton Marsalis & the Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra, March 17, 2013

Overview

The matchless musical icon returns to Zellerbach Hall! With more than 30 albums, nine Grammy Awards, and a Pulitzer Prize to his name, it is impossible to overstate the accomplishments of Wynton Marsalis. The most outstanding jazz musician of his generation, he is also a master big-band leader in the tradition of Duke Ellington, a distinguished classical musician and composer, and a devoted advocate for the arts. Marsalis's finest instrument is his renowned Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra, "the greatest large jazz ensemble working today" (Chicago Tribune).
