For nearly 50 years, the touring program of Vermont's prestigious Marlboro Music Festival has introduced audiences to fresh new talent through inventive programming that pairs familiar masterworks with lesser-known gems. Marlboro artistic directors Richard Goode and Mitsuko Uchida hand-select the most exciting artists to introduce to chamber music audiences throughout the country, and match them with distinguished veteran musicians. This season, the exceptional young string players Bella Hristova, Robin Scott, Dimitri Murrath, and Vicki Powell are joined by cellist Marcy Rosen, founding member of the Mendelssohn String Quartet, and the accomplished pianist Cynthia Raim.
