Mercury Half-Life (to music by Queen)**
Choreographer Trey McIntyre creates innovative, fun, and bold contemporary ballet with an athletic style that is both clever and soulful. His company returns following its warmly received 2011 Cal Performances debut with McIntyre's The Vinegar Works: Four Dances of Moral Instruction inspired by the work of illustrator and writer Edward Gorey, and Mercury Half-Life, the company's exuberant and dazzling new work exploring the life of Freddie Mercury, set to 16 classic Queen songs.
