Early Music Concerts at Cal Performances

Our 2024-25 season of Early Music events feature returning favorites and the debut from a spirited young performer!  We welcome back to our stages Jordi Savall and his Hespèrion XXI and La Capella Reial de Catalunya ensembles exploring the influence of Claudio Monteverdi; the Tallis Scholars celebrating Palestrina’s 500th birthday; the English Concert directed by Harry Bicket performing Handel’s opera Giulio Cesare in Egitto; Les Arts Florissants with violinist Théotime Langlois de Swarte honoring Vivaldi’s The Four Seasons in its 300th birthday year; and the Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment with soprano Julia Bullock performing a varied program of arias and instrumental works.
