Bay Area audiences have witnessed homegrown saxophone hero Joshua Redman's maturity from a youthful prodigy into a leading light of the jazz world over a 20-year career as a performer, bandleader, composer, and jazz ambassador. Redman's approach as an improviser is meticulous, his lines lean and clear, his sense of swing robust and fluid. He performs selections from his latest release, Walking Shadows, with longtime collaborators Aaron Goldberg (piano), Reuben Rogers (bass), and Gregory Hutchinson (drums).
