Chamber Music & Orchestra. Cantus: All Is Calm: The Christmas Truce of 1914. Created by Peter Rothstein, Musical arrangements by Erick Lichte and Timothy C. Takach. December 4, 2014

The nine-man vocal ensemble Cantus is joined by three actors from Minnesota's Theatre Latté Da to bring to life a holiday season story of music and camaraderie. All Is Calm recalls Christmas Day, 1914, when Allied Forces and German soldiers laid down their arms for an impromptu holiday truce and left their trenches to meet for caroling and celebrations. The glorious voices of Cantus sing stirring arrangements of European carols, drinking songs and war songs, folk tunes, and American pop songs.
