Just Announced! 2016 Berkeley Talks

Join us for Berkeley Talks, our second season of conversations moderated by UC Berkeley's Chancellor, Nicholas B. Dirks. The speaker series brings international thought leaders, public scholars, creators and innovators to the Berkeley campus to engage in dialogue with Chancellor Dirks on distinctive and timely issues, exploring forward-thinking concepts that impact our global community and intersect with the university's core mission of teaching, research, and public service.

The UC Berkeley campus community will have first opportunity to order tickets for the Eric Schmidt, Reid Hoffman, and Jonathan Franzen events beginning Jan 14 at noon through Jan 21. Free tickets are limited to one per faculty, staff, or student with Cal Net ID through the priority ordering period. (An additional free ticket, if available, may be reserved beginning Jan 27.) Ticket purchases for Jonathan Franzen are limited to 6 per faculty, staff or student as per Cal Performances' regular discount policies.

Tickets for Jaron Lanier are available on Cal Day beginning at 1 pm at Wheeler Auditorium. One per person only.

  • Jan 14: UCB Faculty/Staff and Students
  • Jan 22: 2015/16 Subscribers and Donors $100+
  • Jan 25: Email Club
  • Jan 27: General public
As several of the Berkeley Talks presentations have been curated specifically for the university community, our pre-ordering period and procedures for Donors and Subscribers are a little different in order to give our campus constituents the first opportunity to reserve tickets to these free events. Please rest assured that we are still holding a significant amount of RSVP's for the general admission events for Cal Performances patrons to ensure priority ordering before the general public!
