Exclusive Engagement
At the Illusionist's Table

Extended one week by popular demand!

Pick a number. Think of a word. Draw a picture.

Beginning with a series of seemingly innocuous questions and simple tasks, the brilliant mentalist, performer, and storyteller Scott Silven proceeds to conjure up a world of mystery and illusion in his intimate dinner-theater performance. Silven's "guests" at this elegant candlelit dinner party—only 28 people per seating—will be treated to a three-course meal, including whiskey tastings, and a jaw-dropping glimpse into the unknown. The show comes to Oakland after a smash-hit Off-Broadway run and sold-out world tour, and space is extremely limited, so buy your tickets now! Awe-inspiring...the sense of wonder is irresistible (Forbes Magazine).

About the Venue
Grace Street Showroom, located at 4629 Martin Luther King Jr. Way (at 47th Street) in Oakland, is a Heritage property, formerly the Oakland Consolidated Street Railway Car Barn. The site was renovated for Grace Street Catering and features a showroom, pastry and savory kitchen, and warehouse space.

Program Notes

Program notes will be available approximately one week before the performance.

Information for ticketholders

Please plan to arrive at 4629 MLK Jr. Way in Oakland to check in no later than 30 minutes prior to supper (see your purchase confirmation email for start time), as latecomers will not be admitted.

Your reservation includes a three course meal and a whiskey tasting. Additional beverages will be available for purchase. The evening features a set menu with the option of vegan and gluten-free plates. If you have any additional dietary restrictions, such as a food allergy, please contact Grace Street prior to the show by email at or by phone at 510.523.1600.

For this intimate event, the catering staff creates place cards for the dinner table, so to that end—if you haven't already done so—we are asking that you please send a note to with the date of the performance you are attending as well as the name of your guest(s) if you have purchased more than one ticket. First name only is fine.

There is a very limited amount of parking at the venue itself, plus additional street parking nearby. As always, (and, as whiskey tasting will be part of your culinary adventure!) we suggest that this might be a good opportunity to use ridesharing services such as Uber and Lyft as a means of getting to and from the venue.
