Discounts & Group Sales
- Discounts must be requested at the time of purchase and may not be applied retroactively.
- ID required at the door of the performance for discounted tickets. (What happens if I forget my ID?)
- One discount per ticket, no double discounts available.
- Single-ticket discounts other than the UCB Student discount do not apply to Special Events.
Available online and through the Cal Performances Ticket Office
Subscribers: Series and Choose-Your-Own subscribers may add events or purchase additional tickets for a subscription performance at any time during the season to which they are subscribed and receive a 10% discount. Simply log-in to your subscriber account online, add full price tickets to your cart, and we subtract the discount for you!
UC Berkeley Faculty and Staff: $5 off single ticket prices (Special Events excluded). UCB ID required at the door.
UC Berkeley Students: 50% off single ticket prices for all Cal Performances events. Cal Net authentication required. UCB ID required at the door. Please note: one ticket per student, per event at the 50% off discounted rate. There are no per order fees associated with UCB Student purchases.
Senior: For our patrons who are 65 years old or better, $5 off single ticket prices (Special Events excluded).
Students (other than UC Berkeley students): $5 off single ticket prices (Special Events excluded). ID required at the door. This discount applies to high school and college students with current IDs, as well as children. Please note: All patrons, regardless of age, must have a ticket to enter the theater.
Cal Alumni Association Members: $5 off single ticket prices (Special Events excluded). Membership card required at the door.
KQED Members: $5 off single ticket prices (Special Events and Exclusive Engagements excluded). Membership card required at the door.

Groups: Groups of 10 or more receive a 15% discount off single ticket prices (Special Events excluded). Some restrictions apply. Rush Programs
For select performances, we may offer a limited quantity of last minute deeply discounted tickets for UCB students, faculty and staff, seniors (65+) and/or community members. To find out if rush tickets will be available for the performance of your choice, you may call 510.642.9988 and listen to the prompt for the rush hotline extension. Please note that rush is announced three hours prior to the performance, so please call during that window of time.
UCB students only: You can also join our “UCB Student Rush Tickets” Instagram Channel to find out if rush tickets will be available.
Program details: Rush ticket sales are cash only and occur at the venue box office beginning one hour before the performance, while supplies last. Tickets are limited to one ticket per person (UCB ID required for UCB rush pricing). The Ticket Office agent assisting you will choose the best available eligible seats at the time of purchase; personal seat selection is not available for rush tickets. Rush ticket prices vary but can be as low as: $10 for UCB students, $15 for UCB Faculty and Staff and Seniors age 65 or better, and $20 for all other community members. Rush pricing is not applicable to prior purchases. Previously purchased tickets may not be exchanged for Rush tickets. All ticket sales are final; no refunds or exchanges.
Per Order Fees
There is a $15 per order service charge on single ticket purchases that partially underwrites the cost of providing services online and by phone, as well as programs needed for digital order delivery. To avoid this fee, tickets can be purchased in person at our Ticket Office during our regular office hours. Note: there is a $20 service charge for all subscription orders. There are no per order fees associated with rush or UCB Student purchases.
