Community

Cal Performances is a vital cultural resource for the UC Berkeley and San Francisco Bay Area community. We invite you to discover and engage with our many performances, education, and free events throughout the year.

Discover your path to Cal Performances

Residents of the Bay Area and members of the UC Berkeley campus community have multiple opportunities to interact with Cal Performances’ artists beyond the theater or concert hall.

Here you will find ways to connect to Cal Performances via multimedia, plus information on renting our venues.

UC Berkeley students will find information on exclusive education sessions, including artist residencies, master classes, workshops, and more. Additionally, Student Musical Activities (SMA), part of Cal Performances, offers students, faculty, staff and alumni ways to experience music though instruction, ensemble playing, and performances.

Creative Impact

Creative Impact LogoCal Performances is proud to be a part of Creative Impact, an alliance of Bay Area arts and education organizations dedicated to strengthening, enriching, and improving the social fabric of our community through arts education. The members of this coalition promote shared values through our work in education.

We believe that:

  • Learning in and through the arts is integral to a comprehensive education.
  • When we work together, we can achieve more.
  • The arts should reflect and engage the community in which we live.

Cal Performances is proud to be a part of Creative Impact, an alliance of Bay Area arts and education organizations dedicated to strengthening, enriching, and improving the social fabric of our community through arts education.

* The Creative Impact calendar is generously hosted by the Alameda County Office of Education on the Art IS Education website dedicated to promoting arts education in the greater Bay Area region.
