ARR. JORGE CALANDRELLI
A major season highlight and a special recital with one of the most treasured artists of our time! Yo-Yo Ma's multifaceted career testifies to his continual search for new ways to connect with audiences, and to his personal desire for artistic growth and renewal. Whether performing new or familiar works from the cello repertoire, collaborating with colleagues in chamber music, or exploring musical forms outside of the Western classical tradition, Ma always strives to find connections that stimulate the imagination. "There is hardly any virtuoso of any instrument who is as complete, profound, passionate, and humane a musician as Ma" (Boston Globe).
