Arzu Salman

Arzu Salman (he/him) takes the dance floor thanks to the LGBTQIA+ and immigrant communities preceding him. His dancing is a fervid and unbridled love letter to those who follow. Salman first attended Piedmont School of Music & Dance in Charlotte, NC. He next graduated magna cum laude from the Ailey/Fordham BFA Program in 2018. Based in New York City, Salman joined YSDT in 2020, and Katy Pyle’s Ballez Company in 2022. He has had the pleasure of working with choreographers such as Tsai Hsi Hung, Peter Alfred Elizalde, and Lavinia Eloise Bruce, and is featured in the All Arts WNET Group documentary episode Travesty-Past, Present, Future. Salman is currently working as a co-creator and assistant choreographer of Das Rauschgift with Cosimo Pori, Travis Amiel, and Nina Rodriguez.
