Under Jake’s leadership, SFGMC has launched new community initiatives and expanded programming, including national collaborations and innovative performances that center queer artistry, storytelling, and connection. Recent highlights include the chorus’ Love Tour through the Midwest, headlining Outside Lands with Big Freedia, and local collaborations with SFBATCO, CheerSF, the Oakland Interfaith Gospel Choir, Another Planet Entertainment, the Midway, and the San Francisco Symphony. This season’s theme, “Shine,” reflects Jake’s commitment to using music to uplift, illuminate, and unite communities across the Bay Area and beyond.
