Yukari Osaka

Yukari Osaka (she/her) is originally from Kobe, Japan. She began her dance career at Sadamatsu-Hamada Ballet in Japan and has danced for YSDT as a founding member since 2005. As a freelance dance artist, Osaka has appeared in various dance/theater festivals and productions, including Dance Biennale Tokyo (Japan), Downtown Dance Festival (NY, USA), Ramallah Contemporary Dance Festival (Palestine), the opera Les Contes D’Hoffmann at the Metropolitan Opera, and the musical Phantom, among others. Osaka is also a director of ENTERART, a dance performance project based in Kobe, Japan. She recently co-directed a performance at the renewal opening ceremony of the most traffic-filled Sankita Plaza in Kobe, Japan. Osaka is currently a puppeteer with The Walk with Little Amal. She is grateful to have spent 20 years with YSDT and is excited about the 20th year.
