Niklas Brommare

Niklas Brommare is one of Sweden’s most sought after and renowned percussion soloists. He has performed with the Royal Stockholm Philharmonic Orchestra, the Swedish Radio Orchestra, Chamber Orchestra of Europe, Ensemble Modern, Klangforum Wien, and IRCAM Paris under the direction of conductors such as Pierre Boulez, Daniel Harding, Peter Eötvös, and Esa-Pekka Salonen.

He has also worked in close collaboration with leading Swedish composers including Anders Hillborg and Sven-David Sandström who composed percussion concertos for him, and with Mikael Karlsson for this production of Midsummer Night Dream choreographed by Alexander Ekman.

He is also a composer with commissions from the Swedish Royal Opera and the Stockholm City Theatre.
