Accessing your Performances
You can find all of your events in the “Digital Content” section of your Cal Performances account. You must be logged into the account you used to purchase your performances to access and watch your events.
Watching on Your TV and Devices
You can stream the performances on your computer, laptop, phone, tablet – any device with an internet connection! Watch on your TV by connecting it to your MAC or PC with an HDMI cable or other streaming device.

Get your watch party attendees together, grab a glass of wine or the streaming snack and beverage of your choice, settle in to your favorite chair or couch, hit “play,” and be ready to be wowed. As always, we recommend silencing your cell phone and unwrapping your candy beforehand, but in this case it’s up to you!

Purchasing tickets for Cal Performances at Home events is similar to purchasing tickets for our live events. On the Cal Performances web site, log in to (or create) your Cal Performances account, then head over to our events calendar to choose the performances you want to view.
Tickets are $15 per viewer. Pricing is on the honor system and is based on the number of people watching the performance.
Rock Star pricing is the full price that you would have paid to see this performance live and in person. It is optional, of course. You can pay the minimum price of $15 per viewer, or be a Rock Star and pay the Rock star price!
Our pricing is on the honor method! We ask that you consider the number of viewers when you purchase tickets and buy accordingly. However, one ticket is all that is required to view any performance.
Cal Performances at Home event tickets “live” in your Cal Performances account, so it is not possible to share them with others. If you wish to gift a ticket for a digital performance to another, please contact the Ticket Office directly and we will assist you.
When purchasing an event, if you do not already have a Cal Performances account, you will be asked to create one before you check out.
After you have selected your viewer numbers, select ADD TO CART.
You will be directed to the account login page. To create an account, select REGISTER FOR A NEW ACCOUNT.
Fill in all of the required fields.
Make sure to select “Add me to Email Club” to get Cal Performances early access, special offers, and more. You can also choose the genres you love so we may tailor messages of interest.
Select CREATE ACCOUNT at the bottom of the page.
You’ll then be directed to your cart where you can select more performances.

Remember, to access your performances, you will need to be logged in to the same account with which you made your order.
If you purchased multiple “viewers” that will show as “seats” on your email confirmation. But you have only one point of access for each event, even if you have purchased multiple “seats” to the same event.
Tickets for Cal Performances at Home events are non-refundable. However, for most events, unless otherwise noted, you will have access to view them for 90 days after the premiere performance.

Accessing My Performances
Your Cal Performances at Home events are available on the Digital Content page of your Cal Performances account, and can be accessed from any browser on your computer or device. Please note that the performances are listed by purchase date, not by performance date.
You will not be able to access the performance page until a few days prior to the premiere date.
First, click on the “My Cal Performances” link located at the top of any page on the Cal Performances web site.
On a mobile device, expand the “MENU” located on the top right of your screen. Then select “My Cal Performances.”
Or, if you’re in the Performance Calendar section of the web site, click on the little head icon or “My Account.”
Enter your email address and password and select LOGIN. Your email address is your username.
If you forgot your password, select FORGOT PASSWORD, and request a password reset. You will be sent an email with a link to reset your password.

Once logged in, select “Digital Content” to access your Cal Performances at Home performances.
Events will not be available for viewing until the premiere date, and most will be available on demand for 90 days following the premiere. Premiere dates are shown on the event listing calendar.
If you remember your login name but not your password, simply request a password reset on the the Cal Performances account page to create a new one. If you can’t recall your login name or are unsure what email address is connected to your Cal Performances account, please contact the Ticket Office at 510-642-9988 or firstname.lastname@example.org for assistance.
Watching My Performances
The performances are accessible only through an internet browser. You cannot use Vimeo, YouTube, or other streaming apps/services. To watch on your TV, you must be able to stream, cast, or mirror from your computer or mobile device by running your browser to your television set. There are a variety of ways to do that.
Many newer desktop and laptop MACs and PCs have an HDMI port that you can connect to your TV directly for audio and video. If your device doesn’t have an HDMI port, you can buy the appropriate adaptor- one end of the adaptor plugs into your device and an HDMI cable to the TV plugs into the other end.
- HDMI from Mac, PC, tablet or smartphone to TV – many desktop and laptop MACs and PCs have an HDMI port that you can connect to your TV directly for audio and video. If your device doesn’t have an HDMI port, you can buy the appropriate adaptor that connects an HDMI cable to the TV. Once connected, use your computer browser to access your performances from your Digital Content page of your Cal Performances account.
- AppleTV – “Airplay” from iOS devices or “Mirror” from your MAC browser.
- ChromeCast – “Cast” from the Google Chrome browser on your PC or MAC, or from your iPad or iPhone.
- Android or iOS devices – Watch on your device by logging in to your Cal Performances account then selecting “Digital Content.”
- SmartTVs – We do not have any native SmartTV apps at this time. You can find information on mirroring to your TV at these links – FireOS – RokuTV – AndroidTV
We recommend testing these options well in advance of premiere night so that you ready when the event begins! We are happy to provide some useful tips on how to watch the performances on other devices, however, we are unable to provide any customer service or technical support for TV streaming.
For the Cal Performances at Home Spring Season, all performances will be available on demand beginning at noon on the premiere date (dates are listed on the event listing calendar). Each event will have a Watch Party at 7pm Pacific where you can watch with other audience members and participate in the live chat!
No. You can access your performances only by opening a browser on your device, logging in to your Cal Performances account then selecting “Digital Content.”
We require minimum stable download speeds of 500 kbps or faster in order to view our lowest quality, SD 240p. Since bandwidth tends to fluctuate for a number of unforeseen variables, we always recommend you use a dedicated Internet line of 5 Mbps or faster to stream and download high quality videos on the Internet. For optimal performance, a hardwired connection via Ethernet is best, but if you prefer to use WiFi, be sure that your router is configured correctly and that your network is not being shared with other devices (this can limit the starting speeds you pay your ISP for).

We support playback in browsers that can decode H.264 videos in an HTML5 player. If you’re using an older browser, system, or website, we ask that you upgrade to be able to watch the performances.

*H.264 video is only supported in Firefox for Windows 7 and later. Firefox versions on Windows XP are not supported.
*Older versions of Internet Explorer (IE 10, 9, 8, etc) that lack support for the TLS 1.2 protocol and HTML5 cannot be used to watch the performances . As of January 12, 2016, Microsoft has stopped releasing updates to older versions of IE.
In addition to the audio controls of your chosen viewing device, there is a volume control button inside the video stream of the concert and is located in the lower right corner of the video frame.
Yes, there is an option to view the video in full screen mode. That option is located in the lower right corner of the video frame. To exit full screen mode at any time, you can press the “Esc” button to return to the main viewing page. We recommend viewing in full screen mode for the best experience. Please note that chat is not available when you are viewing in full screen mode.
Most freezing and buffering issues are caused by the strength, stability, and speed of your internet connection.
First, we suggest that you refresh the page. You may be asked to login to your account again after refreshing. If this doesn’t resolve the issue, check your internet to make sure you’re still connected.
Join us for the Premiere Watch Party at 7pm Pacific where you can watch with other audience members and participate in the live chat! Tune in up to 30 minutes early so you will be ready to press the Play button with the other viewers. Cal Performances staff will countdown the start of the Party for you in the chat.
Don’t worry if you’re late! You can still hit Play and join in the chat, just note that you will be at a different spot in the performance than the other viewers.
