Parking

Finding parking can be a challenge as showtime approaches. We recommend arriving in Berkeley about 45 minutes ahead of the event and, when possible, considering public transportation. Below is a list and map of parking lots near each venue, all equipped for secure credit card payments.

Additionally, please be aware that at times, multiple events may occur on the same day or evening at the UC Berkeley campus, significantly limiting parking availability. To stay updated on potential parking conflicts, check the Parking Alerts section.

Reserved parking is a benefit for donors of $1,000+. If you have already acquired reserved parking for a performance, your spot will be held under your name at the following lot locations:

Reserved Donor Parking Lots

For Zellerbach Hall, Zellerbach Playhouse, and First Church performances: Lower Sproul Lot (1 on the map, Bancroft Way near Telegraph Ave, under Zellerbach Hall)

For Hertz Hall performances: Underhill Parking Lot (6 on the map, 2645 Haste Street)

Note that this is a new lot location for the 2025–26 season; See shuttle information below

For Greek Theatre performances: Upper Hearst Structure (7 on the map, Hearst Ave and Gayley Rd/La Loma Ave)

Hertz Hall/Underhill Lot Shuttle

Due to construction on the parking lot previously utilized for Hertz Hall parking reservations, reserved donor parking has been moved to Underhill Parking Lot (2645 Haste Street) for the 2025–26 season. Because this new lot is slightly further from the lot used previously (about 0.4mi from the venue), we will be offering a free, accessible shuttle service exclusively for donors with reserved parking in the Underhill Lot for all recitals during this season.

Getting to the venue: The shuttle will be available to pick up passengers with reserved donor parking at 60 minutes, 40 minutes, and 20 minutes prior to the performance start time. The pick-up area will be located along Haste St near the south parking lot entrance and will be clearly marked by A-frame signs, though onsite staff will also be able to provide additional wayfinding support as needed. Passengers will be dropped off along Bancroft Way near the previously used parking structure.

Returning to Underhill Lot: Following the conclusion of the performance, the shuttle will be available to return passengers from the Bancroft Way drop-off location to Underhill Lot. The returning shuttles will retrieve passengers with reserved donor parking at 15 minutes, 35 minutes, and 55 minutes after the performance end time.
