The new production Luminance celebrates both the troupeβs 45th anniversary and taikoβs ability to stir the soul. The show features highlights from Kodoβs most popular tours, including the mighty o-daiko drum solo and climactic βYatai-Bayashiβ finale and a tribute to Maki Ishiiβs dynamic and beloved taiko composition βMonochrome,β which involves 10 drums and two large, deeply resonant gongs.
