A living legend of American music, Judy Collins returns to Berkeley with a retrospective concert that looks back on her six-decade-long career and pays tribute to the generations of artists she has influenced. A contemporary of Bob Dylan and Joan Baez, the beloved folksinger, songwriter, and activist became a household name with hit renditions of Joni Mitchell’s “Both Sides Now” and Stephen Sondheim’s “Send In the Clowns.” She has recorded 55 albums and, as a testament to her impact on the music world, artists such as Rufus Wainwright, Shawn Colvin, Dolly Parton, and Leonard Cohen honored her legacy with the album Born to the Breed: A Tribute to Judy Collins.
“A lovely trip down memory lane, allowing Collins, an ever-engaging raconteur, to weave together songs with stories and remembrances from across her legendary career”—Toronto Guardian
